How lovely to come back to Bellingham and give a presentation at Village Books. And even with the first really bright sunny spring day AND catching the tail end of Spring break, we had a nice turnout of familiar and new faces.
Bellingham just gets better all the time. No wonder it is often rated as one of the best places in the U.S. to live.
I’m looking forward to next time. Thank you Village Books, especially Brooks, for taking such good care of everyone.
I forgot to ask her where she heard the story she used in her intro. I’ll e-mail her and find out, though.

I pre-ordered three copies of Writer Mama - one for myself and two for friends. My friends got their copies this week and immediately called me to tell me how they couldn’t wait to dig in!
We all know moms who write (or want to) so I’d say it’s the perfect gift for Mother’s Day, birthdays, Christmas, etc. (Although, you really don’t need a special occasion. In fact, one friend said, “It sure was nice to get something other than BILLS in the mail!”
I’ve already devoured my copy. ; )
Attending the reading at VB was the highlight of my week. The day was beautiful and it was wonderful to get out of the house for such a helpful and inspiring event.
I’d recently decided to pick up my writing career where I’d momentarily left it in order to have children, and was thrilled to see this book available just when I needed it.
I have read half of Writer Mama already, and I am so glad to have it. Even though I have one baby asleep here in her crib and another baby bouncing in my tummy, I am READY to pick up my writing where I left it. Thanks for this fabulous book!!
Christina,
We haven’t seen each other face-to-face in over five years–how delightful to see you at the VB book reading! I predict that Writer Mama will become one of those books EVERYONE in the non-fiction field reads and recommends to others. You’ve done a masterful job of pulling together the wisdom, experience and encouragement that so many of us admire in you! Best wishes with your next project, whatever it might be.
Johannah
Beleaguered by bronchitis and a not-so-relaxing train trip, Christina appeared in Bellingham at Village Books with writer mama grit. Thanks for writing the sunny volume of collective wisdom and encouragement that is Writer Mama. I’m inspired.
