I like all of these suggestions, but have a hard time with number 5. I just can't do it! This is one of the worst things about working at home as far as I am concerned. When my husband worked at home in the past, he could sit and work surrounded by piles of dirty laundry and acres of filthy carpet. I need to work on this...

Love the list.

I especially like the floating idea.
I love the water, and I could make a whole day of floating...
;)

What a great list! As a busy writer mama, I find that I have to really focus on being in the moment with my kids to prevent workaholicism! Here are some other suggestions:
- plant a butterfly bush and watch it every day for a few moments to see if it get's any visiting butterflys (this also works with a small humming bird feeder!; - have a popcycle (or 2); - designate your least favorite day of the week "Doughnut Day" -- how bad can a day be when it begins with a doughnut?; - let the kids chalk the side of your house (they'll be busy for hours!) Be sure to rinse before Dad get's home!

My two cents! Happy Summer!
