I chose Meryl Evan’s blog Meryl’s Notes because I love Meryl’s participatory nature. She’s here, she’s there, she’s everywhere online. Whereas I seem to always be the fuddy-duddy who has too much on my to-do list to get out and play. Meanwhile, Meryl is like everywhere, always. This is a person who works and plays all at the same time.
I first met Meryl while hosting my first Writer Mama Back To School Book Giveaway in September 2007. Of course, as with this giveaway, I didn’t really know what I was doing. I had an instinct. I followed it. I figured I’d figure it out as I went along. But Meryl was the first one to ask me to clarify how the giveaway worked. When her posts kept disappearing to SPAM land, she was cheerful and communicative. She helped out. I appreciated it and still do.
Meryl says her blog is about “Things wordy, webby and geeky. It’s for people interested in words, language, techie and webby.” But really I think you should go there because Meryl is there and she’s a great example of where we are all headed.
Please join me over at Meryl’s blog Meryl’s Notes where I’ll be talking about how all writing is rewriting.
